The Ashley Basket

The Ashley Basket is a medium sized basket great for everyday use.

Our artisans in Madagascar have handmade this basket using straw on the inside and a woven raffia outer in a herringbone pattern.

Using Leather handles as well as the straw, the Ashley basket is strong. The base is flat and the handles stand up – so when placed on the floor, the basket is easy to grab.

The Ashley basket is best for handcarrying or elbow carrying although she does fit snugly over your shoulder.

A drawstring closing to keep your treasures safe, as well as an inner pocket for the hard to find items – e.g keys.

Measuring 36cm high – at the highest point – the bag has a unique shaped top and 26cm at the base – the Ashley Basket is a lovely easyto use size.
